Nollywood films have been used to project and preserve Igbo royalty culture in particular and the Nigerian cultures in general through representation of symbols, royal characters and lifestyles. The study shows that representation of Igbo royalty culture in thefilms in all ramifications is largely accurate and realistic except for some cases that depict gross exaggeration of opulence, flamboyance and unrealistic display of wealth as well as depictions of Igbo royalty with foreign, borrowed and mixture of other cultures, predominantly in relation to their attires. The impact of globalization and culture transfer were noted. The study recommends that Nollywood film producers should employ diverse research methods and consult widely to ensure that their offerings can effectively sustain the cultures against being eroded and extinction
