Abstract

This study investigated knowledge and use of internet banking among customers in Enugu metropolis, Nigeria. Three research questions and two hypotheses guided the study. Survey research design was adopted. With the use of a three-stage sampling technique, 385 respondents were selected from five purposively selected banks- Guaranty Trust Bank PLC, First Bank PLC, Access Bank PLC, Diamond Bank PLC and United Bank for Africa PLC- within Enugu metropolis. Mean and standard deviation were used to answer the research questions while t-Test was adopted for hypotheses testing. Results showed that even though males and females bank customers have knowledge of internet banking, males use Internet banking more than their female counterpart. The researcher recommends that banks should configure their Internet banking in a manner that customers will find it very easy to access and operate.
